West Grey's winter control program aims to plow roads at least once every 24 hours if required. Delays will occur during significant weather events, freezing rain or heavy snow fall.
The geography of West Grey is divided into 17 plow routes to cover the more than 700 kilometres of roads. There are 11 trucks that can plow and spread a sand/salt mixture and six graders that push an ice blade gravel roads when necessary.
Snow plow operates generally start their routes at 7 a.m. unless there is significant snowfall or poor visibility.
All road closures will be announced on social media and on our service disruption page.
