Dog tag licences

All dogs in West Grey require a permanent dog tag which can be purchased at the municipal office. This program works with dog owners to promote responsible dog ownership and provide a useful tool in case a dog goes missing.

Licence fees are due on March 31 each year, and the cost depends on how many dogs are owned.

Before March 31:

• First dog: $20.00
• Second dog: $30.00
• Third dog: $40.00
• Fourth dog and any additional dogs after: $50.00
• Lost/replacement tags: $10.00

After March 31: 

• First dog: $25.00
• Second dog: $35.00
• Third dog: $45.00
• Fourth dog and any additional dogs after: $55.00
• Lost/replacement tags: $10.00

There is a $85.00 reclamation fee for any dog. Unpaid tags will be added to tax bills.
Tags are not transferable between municipalities.
