How to pay your utility bill |
Pre-authorized payment plans Sign up for our pre-authorized payment plan. Payment comes out on the 15th of the month in which the bills are due each year. To sign up, fill out the Pre-Authorized Tax Payment Plan Form. By credit card West Grey uses Paymentus to allow you to pay your utility bill by credit card. Please note Paymentus charges an additional fee of 2.5% for this service. At your bank West Grey accepts payments through most banking institutions telephone or online banking platforms. Please register with your bank by using your account number located on your utility bill. In person Payments are accepted at the West Grey municipal office located at 402813 Grey Road 4, Durham. Drinking water annual reports |
The Municipality of West Grey conducts annual reports on Durham and Neustadt drinking water. The reports document findings of the inspection and have two sections: “actions required” and “recommended actions” as per section 19 of the Safe Drinking Water Act, 2002.
Further, the West Grey water systems operate under the Quality Management Policy. The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks releases annual reports on drinking water. The ministry's annual reports provide an overview of their programs, policies and initiatives to protect drinking water in Ontario. |
Wastewater annual reports |
West Grey operates two wastewater treatment systems. We are responsible for all monitoring, quality assurance, quality control, reporting, inspecting, collection and maintenance of the facilities. Each year the municipality releases wastewater collection system performance reports. This report provides a summary of all monitored data, along with any corrective actions needing to take place, maintenance activities and other information. |
Do not flush wipes |
Only flush toilet paper. Wipes, paper towels and other products can clog pipes and be very hard on sewer systems. |
Water hydrant flushing |
The flushing of hydrants in Durham and Neustadt occurs periodically from May through to September 30 every year. Please check the water colour prior to doing your laundry. Some residents may experience low water pressure and discolouration. |
