WEST GREY, ON – CommunityVotes Grey County has spoken and awarded gold to West Grey for its summer 2023 aquatics program.
Formed in 2019, the CommunityVotes platform provides a forum for citizens to nominate and vote for “outstanding businesses and services” that contribute to the local quality of life.
“Being recognized for excellence in program delivery is always appreciated, and being recognized by our community is a wonderful honour,” said West Grey Mayor Kevin Eccles. “Sincere thanks to our citizens who nominated and voted, and congratulations to West Grey’s dedicated and talented staff.”
West Grey’s aquatics program includes swimming lessons delivered in accordance with the Life Saving Society of Canada. In addition, the municipality hosts swimming programs at the wading pool in Durham and at the Saugeen Conservation Area beach, in partnership with the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority. The program has seen steady growth and plans are underway for expansion in the summer 2024 season.
