This notice is to inform residents that the Durham Road East reconstruction project will commence the week of April 24, 2023. This phase of reconstruction will be from Garafraxa Street to Kincardine Street including William Street. This work involves the replacement of the water works and the installation of new storm sewer works. There will be a public open house regarding this project on April 20, 2023, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Municipality of West Grey Council Chambers, located at 402813 Grey Road 4, Durham, ON. Residents are invited to attend to learn about the project and ask questions.
Please note, that on garbage collection days we kindly ask that all recycling be placed in clear plastic bags (only during the construction period). Household garbage still needs to be in clear plastic bags, under 40lbs and tagged with a West Grey garbage tag. Both bagged recycling and tagged household garbage need to be at curbside before 7 a.m. on day of collection. The contractor will ensure your contents are placed to be picked up by Waste Management on the regular scheduled day.
The contractor will do its best to minimize any inconvenience. Please remember that unforeseen circumstances may make this difficult. We kindly ask for your patience during the construction process.
Should you have any issues with the construction process, please contact Steve Ayerhart, Supervisor of Urban Operations at 519-369-4343 or contact the undersigned at 519-369-2200, ext. 227.
Thanking you in advance for your cooperation.
Regards,
Geoff Aitken, C.E.T.
