Notice of intention to amend fees and charges bylaw

Please be advised that the Corporation of the Municipality of West Grey intends to adopt an amendment to fees and charges bylaw 2023-064, in accordance with subsection 391(1) of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25. 

The amendment to the fees and charges bylaw will amend Schedule B as follows:

• Amend media bingo licence fees from 3% of prizes with a minimum $30.00 fee to 1% of prizes with a minimum $25.00 fee and a maximum $500.00 fee.
• Amend raffle licence fees from 3% of prizes with a minimum $30.00 fee to 1% of prizes with a minimum $25.00 fee and a maximum $500.00 fee.
• Amend blanket licence fees from 3% of prizes with a minimum $30.00 fee to 1% of prizes with a minimum $25.00 fee and a maximum $500.00 fee.
• Amend break open ticket licence fees from 3% of prizes with a minimum $30.00 fee to 1% of prizes with a minimum $25.00 fee and a maximum $500.00 fee.

The meeting at which the bylaw will be presented will take place at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, in West Grey council chambers, 402813 Grey Road 4, Durham, ON. Members of the public may attend in person or electronically via Zoom.

Notice is being provided in accordance with notice bylaw 2023-020. If the matter is postponed or considered at a subsequent council meeting, no additional notice will be provided other than the information on the subsequent council agenda.
