Carnegie Library:
Take notice that the Corporation of the Municipality of West Grey hereby gives notice of the intention to sell lands known as Plan 500 Part Lot 19 WGR RP; 16R10764 parts 3 to 5, also known as the Carnegie Library property.
The above noted lands were declared to be surplus to the needs of the Municipality by resolution at the regular meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of West Grey held on November 3, 2020.

Background |
The Carnegie Library is a historical municipally-owned building at 240 Garafraxa St. N. in Durham. The property and building has served as the Durham branch of the West Grey Public Library. The building was a purpose-built library and has been designated as a heritage building. The property is located in the core of Durham and was acquired by the former Town of Durham when it opened in July 1912, following a grant received in January 1911. Over the years this landmark building has provided the space and opportunity for learning, sharing and truly connecting with fellow community members.
