TAKE NOTICE the council of the Municipality of West Grey passed bylaw No. 83-2020 to adopt the Community Improvement Plan (CIP) on December 1st, 2020 under Section 28 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended.
In making this decision, council considered all written and oral submissions received regarding the CIP.
AND TAKE NOTICE any person or agency may appeal to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT) in respect of the bylaw by filing with the clerk, no later than the 30th day of December, 2020 a notice of appeal setting out the objections to the bylaw and the reasons in support of the objection and must be accompanied by the prescribed approval fee required by the LPAT made payable to the Minister of Finance. The appeal must be accompanied by the LPAT appeal form.
Only individuals, corporations or public bodies may appeal the by-law to LPAT. A notice of appeal may not be filed by an unincorporated association or group. However, a notice of appeal may be filed in the name of an individual who is a member of the association or group on its behalf.
The proposed CIP is exempt from approval by the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing. The decision of council is final if a notice of appeal is not received on or before the last day for filing notice of appeal.
PURPOSE AND EFFECT
The purpose and effect of the CIP for the Municipality of West Grey is to realize its economic development vision of being ‘Investment Ready and Open for Business’ while maintaining its vibrant and sustainable rural economy, and ensuring it is well-positioned for future generations. The effect of which will enable and boost development momentum across the municipality. The intent of this program is to offer targeted incentives across West Grey’s settlement and rural areas.
Key maps are not attached as the CIP will be available to all eligible properties throughout the municipality.
