Municipal facilities closed due to significant weather event

WEST GREY, ON — Due to the forecasted weather event, which includes flash freezing, black ice, and blizzard conditions, the municipal office, recreation centres, arenas and all library branches will be closed on Friday December 23, 2022. The municipal office and library will reopen Tuesday January 3, 2023.

The Bentinck and Durham landfills will be closed Friday December 23, 2022 and Saturday December 24, 2022.   

Due to the impending weather, residents are asked to hold their recycling until the next regularly scheduled pickup. Waste Management will attempt to continue curbside garbage collection as usual. If collection does not occur, crews will resume services on Monday December 26, 2022.
