COVID-19 update – as of May 27, 2021
Stay-at-home order
The province wide stay-at-home order is in place until June 2, 2021, as Ontario continues to deal with the impacts of COVID-19, while also beginning to transition into phase one of the provincial reopening plan on June 14, 2021.
What does stay-at-home mean?
Stay-at-home means residents are encouraged to not travel outside of their region unless it is for essential reasons such as attending the grocery store, pharmacy or health care services, outdoor exercise or walking pets, work that cannot be done remotely and child care.
Outdoor space, gatherings, recreation
Gatherings and events for outdoors are limited to five people. At this time, certain outdoor recreational activities are permitted.
The following outdoor spaces in West Grey are open for your enjoyment:
- baseball diamonds
- soccer fields
- tennis courts
- basketball courts
- skate park
- parks, playgrounds and trails
When accessing sports fields / courts only five individuals are permitted at a time. Singles games / one on one are encouraged. No organized team sports are permitted at this time.
We encourage everyone to enjoy the outdoors while remembering the three “W’s”:
- Wash your hands
- Wear a mask
- Watch your distance – six feet
