Back to Search- Council received a delegation from Erik Downing, Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority respecting category 3 programs and services for the Municipality of West Grey. Council directed staff to bring forward a report on category 3 cost apportioning agreements with the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority.
- Council received correspondence from the Municipality of Brockton respecting the Saugeen Municipal Airport partnership. Council directed staff to provide a report on all aspects of the airport with a comprehensive evaluation of the service and the potential implications of a sale or dissolution of the organization.
- Council received correspondence from the Town of Grimsby respecting establishing a guaranteed livable income. Council directed staff to send a letter of support for the resolution passed by the Town of Grimsby council to the Premier of Ontario, the MP and MPP for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound and all Ontario municipalities. Council also directed staff to schedule a presentation on living wages through the Bruce Grey Poverty Task Force.
- Council received a report respecting an update on the West Grey Strategic Plan. Council approved the top-ranking priorities and directed staff to provide a draft West Grey Strategic Plan for approval.
- Council directed staff to facilitate a land exchange between the Municipality of West Grey and the Canadian Lemkos Association. The 2.5-acre parcel of land is located south of Concession 10 NDR and adjacent to 501818 Concession 10 NDR.
- Council authorized the mayor and clerk to enter into a Connecting Link Agreement with Owen Sound Highway Maintenance Limited for the 2023/24 winter season at a cost of $24,668 plus HST.
- Council congratulated all volunteers who contributed to the success of the 153rd Neustadt Fall Fair and the Durham Terry Fox Run.
- Council members reminded residents that events are taking place at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 308, Durham from September 17 – 23, 2023 in celebration of Legion Week.
- Council members announced the upcoming Gord Bamford “Canadian Dirt Tour” taking place on September 23, 2023 at the Neustadt Arena.
