- Council received a delegation from Fr. Anthony Wadie, Parish Pastor of Archangel Raphael, and St. Marina Coptic Orthodox Church regarding an introduction to Coptic Orthodox Monasticism.
- Council directed staff to send a letter of support for a resolution passed by Hasting County regarding sustainable infrastructure funding for small rural municipalities.
- Council directed staff to move forward with the ice and floor allocation policy, this is to enhance the management of user groups booking regular or recurring ice and floor time. The implementation of an ice and floor allocation policy will create consistency for user groups in West Grey.
- Council directed staff to proceed with the installation of playground equipment at Durham Town Hall Park, using up to $50,000 from reserves to fund the project. The current playground structure needs to be moved to accommodate the new splashpad infrastructure.
- Council directed staff to bring forward a bylaw to amend the refreshment to bylaw. The amendment will eliminate the requirement for temporary refreshment vehicle licensees of one week or less to be situated on lands zoned as commercial, industrial, or institutional.
- Council provided an endorsement to Neustadt Brewery for their by-the-glass liquor license application to permit them to sell their distilled products by-the-glass in their tasting room.
- Council shared information about upcoming community events, including:
- Healthcare rally Grey-Bruce on May 11, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Owen Sound City Hall;
- Elmwood Chamber of Commerce Wing night on May 17, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Durham Horticultural Society plant sale on May 18, 2024, at 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
