Back to Search- Council received a presentation from Brian Garel, Katherine Halsall and Alireza Jalali, Wilfrid Laurier University Lazaridis School of Business and Economics respecting a tourism and marketing strategic plan for the Municipality of West Grey.
- Council received a presentation from Jeffrey Abrams, Principles Integrity respecting the Integrity Commissioner’s Periodic Report for the period of June 2021 to May 2023.
- Council received a delegation from Stella Fergal and Nikki May, Earth Works West Grey respecting climate friendly recommendations for the Official Plan update.
- Council granted a request from Robert’s Farm Equipment to declare the Gord Bamford “Canadian Dirt Tour” as being municipally significant. The event will take place on September 23, 2023 at the Neustadt Arena and proceeds will be going to local 4-H.
- Council granted a request from the West Grey Public Library and recognized October 16 – 20, 2023 as Ontario Library Week. This week raises awareness of the valuable role libraries play in our lives.
- Council directed staff to request a delegation from the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority respecting Category 3 Cost Apportioning Agreements.
- Council granted a request from the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 308, Durham to fly the Legion flag at the West Grey municipal office from September 18 – 23, 2023 in celebration of Legion Week.
- Council received the 2022 annual reports on the Durham Wastewater Treatment Plant and the Neustadt Lagoons, and Landfill Monitoring.
- Council received a report on Drinking Water Systems Inspections. The Durham and Neustadt Drinking Water Systems both received an inspection rating of 100% and a risk rating of 0%.
- Council members announced upcoming community events including a ‘Bringing Back the Night Sky’ event at the Durham Community Centre on Saturday, August 26th at 8p.m. and the 163rd Annual Durham Fall Fair taking place September 1 – 3, 2023 at the Durham Community Centre.
