The Durham and Bentick landfills will be open tomorrow, Saturday November 13, 2021 for the regular hours: 8a.m. to 4p.m.
The Normanby landfill will be closed until further notice.

West Grey landfill survey

The Municipality of West Grey is conducting a survey to learn more about how often and why the residents of West Grey attend landfill sites. There are three ways to complete the survey;
- Complete the survey on paper and deliver it to the West Grey Municipal Office.
- Complete the survey on paper, scan it and email it to info@westgrey.com.
- Complete the survey on the West Grey website by clicking here.
Residents that would like to complete the survey are asked to do so by Monday, November 22, 2021 at 12pm
Film plastics recycling program

Beginning Saturday, November 3, 2021, there will be a new way to recycle film plastics and expanded polystyrene (Styrofoam) in West Grey. The Municipality is now accepting film plastics and expanded polystyrene at the Bentinck and Durham landfill sites. Residents can drop-off certain types of film plastics and expanded polystyrene for free. Expanded polystyrene (EPS) recycling program

Styrofoam recycling can be dropped off at two landfills in West Grey starting November 1, 2021. West Grey will be recycling expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam packaging, commonly referred to as Styrofoam, in partnership with Second Wind Recycling. Styrofoam recycling will be based out of the Bentinck and Durham landfills.
