Bentinck landfill temporarily closed following fire

WEST GREY, ON — The Bentinck landfill will be closed until next Saturday, May 21, 2022. The landfill will be closed for a week to conduct site clean-up and inspection following a fire that occurred on May 11, 2022.
In the interim West Grey residents may use the Durham landfill for recycling and bagged garbage. The Durham landfill is open Fridays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Take notice that the Corporation of the Municipality of West Grey hereby gives notice of the intention to sell lands known as the unopened and unmaintained road allowance between Lot 50 and 51, Concession 2 SDR, being the junction of Sideroad 50 and South Line, in the geographic Township of Glenelg.

West Grey half load restrictions lifted May 1, 2022

Half load restrictions will be lifted for all West Grey municipal roads for the 2022 spring season on Sunday, May 1, 2022.
Roads are vulnerable to heavy vehicle damage in the early spring when frost is leaving the ground. Load restrictions help to minimize the damage. Thank you keeping our roads safe.
