Application to name a corporate asset - Heritage Walkway Bridge

The Municipality of West Grey has received an application to name a corporate asset and is seeking input from external stakeholders, including members of the public, regarding the suitability of the application, pursuant to the Corporate Asset Naming Policy.

The replacement of the former single-lane Lantz bridge on Concession 2 WGR has been completed, along with interesting drone footage capturing the installation.
This project replaced the 15-metre bridge with a wider two-lane wooden bridge. The scope of work included a comprehensive bridge inspection, full removal of the existing structure, and dewatering and excavation to prepare for the installation of the foundations. New landfill hours effective-July-2,-2022

The Bentinck landfill will be open Wednesday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Durham landfill will be open Thursday and Friday 12:00 noon to 6 p.m. The Normanby landfill remains closed due to staffing shortages. There will be no changes to curbside service - please have your clear bags and recycling out by 7 a.m. on your pick-up day.
