Household Hazardous waste program - temporarily closed

The municipal household hazardous waste program is temporarily closed due to recent vandalism requiring repairs. A notice will be issued when the service reopens. Please hang on to paints, oils, oil filters, and other chemicals until further notice. All other services are available as usual including battery, light bulb, and tube recycling.

WEST GREY – Deputy Fire Chief Shawn Edwards is calling on all residents of West Grey to test their smoke alarms on September 28 as part of Test Your Smoke Alarm Day. Be prepared to be Saved by the Beep with a working smoke alarm – it is your best chance to keep you and your family safe in the event of a fire.

West Grey has begun its annual hydrant flushing in the Neustadt drinking water distribution system. The following flushing will take
place in Durham, and this process will take place until the end of October.
