Service Disruption - Curbside Collection - Thursday, January 2, 2025
Due to mechanical issues, crews are unable to complete all curbside collections today. Crews will continue collecting at 7 a.m. on Friday, January, 3, 2025. Residents are advised to leave items out or have them at the curb for 7 a.m. and make sure they are on a clear level surface in view for collections crews. There are no anticipated changes for Friday's collection.
We appreciate your understanding and patience.

WEST GREY, ON – As part of Council’s advocacy on behalf of the residents of West Grey, the Municipality engaged legal counsel to request a judicial review of South Bruce Grey Health Centre’s decision to remove the 10 in-patient beds from Durham Hospital.
The judicial review occurred on November 13, 2024, before a 3-judge panel. At this point, the Municipality is still awaiting a decision as a result of that hearing and is hopeful for positive news in early January.

West Grey Holiday Office Closure 2024

The West Grey municipal office will be closed from 12 p.m. on Tuesday December 24, 2024, through Wednesday, January 1, 2025, for the holidays. Our office will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
Please note that the Durham and Bentinck landfill will be closed on December 25 and 26, 2024, and January 1, 2025. The landfills will operate as usual on all other days.
Garbage and recycling collection schedules will not be affected by these closures.
