Council redirected $90,000 from the 2024 budget for Victoria Street into reserves. The original budget approved $90,000 for a single lane road repair on Victoria Street in Ayton. A developer has since come forward with a proposal, suggesting a 20m-wide rural road with granular materials and asphalt, in line with West Grey Engineering Standards.

Due to inclement weather, the Municipality of West Grey will be closing municipal facilities as follows:
- West Grey Municipal Office – 12:00 p.m.
- Ayton and Neustadt Community Centres – 12:00 p.m.
- Durham Community Centre – 4:00 p.m.
- Durham Landfill – 12:00 p.m.
Municipal office phone lines and emails are being monitored throughout the day.
