Council directed staff to submit requests for delegations respecting rural hospitals and healthcare, and infrastructure funding at the upcoming Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) conference happening on August 18-21, 2024.
Council received a request from Royal Canadian Legion Branch 308 to use additional light pole banner arms for the Legion’s veteran banner campaign. Council authorized the Legion to install up to 10 additional banners in Durham and three additional banners in Ayton.

Take notice that the Corporation of the Municipality of West Grey hereby gives notice of intention to dispose of lands known as Parts 1, 2, and 3, being part of Lot 27, concession 2 EGR, being all of instrument 6930, all of instrument 6444, and part of instrument 313694 of PLAN 16R-8548 in the geographic Township of Glenelg.
The above noted lands were declared to be surplus to the needs of the Municipality by resolution at the regular meeting of the council of the Corporation of the Municipality...

Emergency Closure of Bridge 51

Please be advised of West Grey's Emergency closure of Bridge 51.
Bridge 51 is located in Normanby on Concession 18 west of Grey Road 3, it will be closed until further notice.
The asphalt wearing surface has been damaged exposing the wood deck below. As a result, the bridge is no longer safe to cross.
Curbside recycling and waste will not be impacted by this closure. We thank everyone for their understanding and cooperation.

On April 28, 2024, the National Day of Mourning, workplaces across Canada will pause, reflect, and remember those who lost their lives, suffered injury or illness on the job, or experienced a work-related tragedy. This day also highlights the importance of safe work and preventing further tragedies.
