WEST GREY, ON—The Municipality of West Grey has declared a state of emergency amid the global COVID-19 pandemic.
“The spread of COVID-19 and the safety of our residents remains our top priority,” said Mayor Christine Robinson. “West Grey is joining with several other municipalities to declare a state of emergency to signal the seriousness of this pandemic and the importance of proactive measures.”

West Grey suspends programming, meetings, closes facilities

WEST GREY, ON—The Municipality of West Grey has suspended its recreational programming and closed all municipal facilities until further notice. This includes all arenas, community centres, halls, library branches and the municipal administration building.
Further, all committees of council meetings and municipal events have been canceled until further notice amidst growing concerns over the Covid-19 pandemic.

WEST GREY, ON—The Municipality of West Grey is urging residents to follow preventative measures as set out by Grey Bruce Public Health and the province.
According to public health, the risk of contracting COVID-19 remains low in Grey-Bruce.
Residents should:
• Wash your hands with soap and water thoroughly and often.
• Cough and sneeze into your sleeve or a tissue. Dispose of tissue immediately and wash your hands.
• Keep surfaces clean and disinfected.
• Stay home if you are sick.
