Trails infrastructure feedback

West Grey is reviewing its trails infrastructure in the town of Durham from the 2023/24 winter season. This review will focus on the snowmobile use pilot project, specifically a small section of trails leading from Riverside Park and ending at Douglas Street.

- Council directed staff to send a letter of support for a resolution passed by the Township of Perry requesting that the province amend blue box regulations for 'ineligible' sources. The request is for blue box producers to be fully responsible for all of their products and packaging at end of life, rather than producers only being responsible for 'eligible' sources.

Half load restrictions in effect March 1 for West Grey

Effective Friday March 1, 2024 all West Grey municipal roads will be under a reduced load restriction (5 tonnes per axle) until April 30, 2024. Depending on existing and forecasted environmental conditions and the existing condition of the road network, the half load season may be extended if deemed necessary.
