Animal Services

Animal control in West Grey is provided through a contract with Municipal Support Services.

Dog licences can be purchased at the Municipal office. For more information on dog licences, please visit our Dog Tags page. 

Farmers may qualify for compensation if a farm animal is injured or killed by a coyote, wolf, or stray dog.

Please contact the Department of Legislative Services during regular business hours. For incidents occurring after hours, reach out to the Municipality of West Grey's livestock valuer, Jeremy Hanley, at 519-270-861.

For additional information, refer to the Ontario Wildlife Damage Compensation Program.

To report a lost pet, please contact Municipal Enforcement Services at 226-910-1322.

To report a dog bite or suspected case of animal cruelty, please contact West Grey Police Services dispatch at 519-371-6911.
