Zoning

The Municipality of West Grey's Zoning Bylaw is a legal mechanism to manage land use and future development. It achieves this in part by separating different types of use in an effort to reduce land-use conflicts.

The Municipality of West Grey's Zoning Bylaw governs property development by regulating:

  • how land may be used, including what specific uses are permitted on a property
  • where buildings and other structures can be located, including required setbacks from the street
  • the types of buildings permitted and their heights
  • minimum lot sizes and dimensions
  • parking requirements
