Water and Sewer Rates and Billing

West Grey operates water and sewer systems in Durham and Neustadt. Every homeowner is responsible for maintaining the water and sanitary lines from the street to inside your home. 

Billing

Utilities are billed on a quarterly basis (January, April, July, and October) and payments are due at the end of the billing month.

Haven't received your utility bill and the due date is drawing near?

Please contact the Finance Department. Failure to receive a utility bill does not relieve the user from payment responsibilities nor from liability of penalty for late payment.

Rates

Rates and fees associated with municipal water and sewer services in Durham and Neustadt are established per Bylaw No.14-2022. Which is a bylaw to regulate the distribution and use of water and the use of the sewer system, fix prices, and times of payment, establish and impose water and sewage rates and times for payment, and to require mandatory connections to municipal water and sanitary sewage works, for Neustadt and Durham.

A typical water bill consist of  water rate, sewer, and a capital and financing charge. Refer to the Water and Sewage Bylaw.
