The Municipality of West Grey has a variety of beautiful, well-maintained parks that offer something for the whole family. Our parks feature picnic tables, pavilions, gazebos, and playgrounds, ensuring a great time for everyone.

With an abundance of parks and trails to explore, there's no shortage of outdoor activities. Enjoy cycling trails, dog parks, an accessible playground, splash pads, a skate park, picnic spots, walking trails, and much more!

All parks must comply with the Smoke Free Ontario Act.

Rules and Regulations

This Splash Pad is not supervised. All persons using the Splash Pad use this area at their own risk. The Municipality of West Grey is not responsible for and accepts no liability for any damage, loss, injury, or death claimed or suffered by any person related to the access and use of this area, however caused.

  • Operational Hours - Open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. from June through September. After Labour Day, hours will depend on weather conditions.
  • Infants and Toddlers - Must wear proper swim diapers.
  • Attire - Swim suits and/or appropriate attire must be worn at all times. Footwear/sandals are strongly recommended.
  • Supervised Play is Safe Play - Children younger than 10 years old must be under constant supervision of an adult. Adults are responsible for their safety at all times.
  • Weather - For your safety, leave the splash pad area immediately when thunder is heard or lightning is seen.
  • Pets and Animals - Are not permitted in the splash pad area.
  • Food/Tobacco - Are not permitted in the splash pad area.
  • Skateboards, Roller Blades and Bikes - Are not permitted in the splash pad area.
  • Athletic Equipment - Balls, bats, beach balls, noodles, etc. are not allowed on the pad.
  • Health - People with a communicable disease, open sores, or skin infection are not permitted to use the splash pad.
  • Glassware and similar material with a tendency to shatter on impact is not allowed in the spray or activities area.
  • Do not climb, hang, swing or pull on any of the splash pad equipment.
  • All participants must conduct themselves in a courteous, safe and family-oriented manner.
  • The splash pad, playground area and/or pavillions cannot be reserved for private parties or functions.

With thanks to My Mainstreet, the Canadian Urban Institute, and the Government of Canada the Riverside Park Revitalization project has begun. The Project, funded through My Main Street is a partnership between the Municipality, Durham BIA, Friends of Music in the Park, and the Durham and District Horticultural Society who set forth to redesign and improve riverside park through the installation of a pavilion, increased park signage, seasonal lighting, and semi-permanent park bathrooms.
