Posted On: Friday, December 21, 2018Some important changes are happening at the West Grey municipal office including rearranging council chambers to accommodate digital technology upgrades, revamping the foyer and expanding the customer service counter and uniting customer-focused departments in a centralized layout. Operationally, due to the increase in development activity in West Grey, building services for West Grey will be provided from the West Grey municipal office effective January 1, 2019.
"Customer service was identified as a priority by the community and these enhancements deliver on improved service," said West Grey Mayor Christine Robinson. "I am pleased with the customer-centric approach to how we serve our residents and business partners."
The centralized customer service hub at the municipal office is a "one-stop counter" approach offering building services intake, dog tags, tax services, recreation bookings, public work enquiries such as water and waste, garbage bag tags, and licensing and general enquiries.
This holiday season, the municipal office is closed December 24, 25, 26 and January 1. Office hours on December 27, 28 and 31 are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
