West Grey is one of Ontario’s Top 100 “Best Places to Live”

Posted On: Tuesday, August 7, 2018
WEST GREY, Ontario – The list is out, and West Grey lands a prized spot in the top 100 best places to live in Ontario. The annual MoneySense Magazine ranking puts West Grey at #94, with top marks in three of the 10 ranking categories: low taxes, wealth and economy, and health accessibility.

“West Grey is certainly in good company and rightly so,” said Mayor Kevin Eccles. “We have the perfect blend of that quaint small-town Ontario friendliness, an up-and-coming economy, and unparalleled natural beauty making West Grey the ideal place to call home.”

The Ontario list at: https://www.moneysense.ca/canadas-best-places-to-live-2018-create-your-own-ranking/#region-on also includes an interactive “ranking remix” to adjust the importance of each category.

MoneySense looked at 415 cities across Canada. While there is no way to measure unique factors like natural beauty, or community spirit, the magazine’s 10 ranking categories focused on factors that make a community livable, such as affordability, health care, culture, crime rate and even weather. The methodology and complete rankings can be found at moneysense.ca.
